Every year on August 2 and 3, Yugawara’s summer festival “Yassa Matsuri” is held.
The festival is crowded with people wearing colorful yukata (light cotton kimono often worn during summer) and performing the “Yassa Odori” dance, as well as mikoshi (portable shrines) and floats.
On the evening of August 3, the festival climaxes with approximately 2,200 fireworks.

- (1) Yugawara Town Hall Meeting Room: 40 people (approx. 750m from the launch site, with elevator and parking lot)
- (2) Rooftop of Yugawara Town Water Purification Center: 60 people (150m from the launch site, with elevator, no parking lot)
- (3) Prego Yugawara Store parking lot (for visitors by car only): 40 cars (approx. 370m from the launch site)
- *Registration for (1) and (2) will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the day of the event.
- *Please note that some venues are far from the launch site and may be difficult to see.
- *Please use the parking lot of the town’s gymnasium or other parking lots (for a fee).
- *Please use the parking lot of the town gymnasium, etc. (for a fee). Parking (2nd and 3rd floors) will be available from 5:00 p.m. on the day of the event. Please come early, as it may be difficult to enter the parking lot due to congestion on the surrounding roads near the time of the fireworks display. Please note that it will take time to exit the garage after the fireworks display.
