Satsuki No Sato Azalea Festival (End of May – Mid of Jun)

On a hill overlooking the Sagami Bay, 5,000 satsuki or Japanese azaleas bloom during the Azalea Festival.

From late May to early June, pink and white azaleas bloom, creating a beautiful sight like a carpet of flowers.
There is the “Friendship Bell” on the observatory, which is popular among couples for “bringing happiness”.
Many families come to picnic here, and it is a sightseeing spot that can be enjoyed by families, friends, and lovers.

On Saturdays and Sundays during the Satsuki Festival, shuttle buses will be running, and stalls selling local citrus fruits will be set up.
