A favorite snack of literary giants that founded in 1910

The shop has been open in the Meiji era (1868-1912), this long-established Japanese confectionery is the originator of “Kibimochi,” a type of rice cake which loved by many great writers.
The exterior of the shop, which retains the atmosphere of those days, is a popular photo spot.
You can taste delicious wagashi such as “Kibimochi” made with the same ingredients and production methods as those used in those days, “Karukan Manju” made of rice flour with a dough richly kneaded with yams and sweet bean paste, and popular “Nishoku Dango” kneaded with real kuzu (a type of sweet made of kuzu).
